La Finca Caribe

Vieques' most beautiful rustic getaway, offering the Caribbean the way it was meant to be quiet, private, and laid back. The finca is a cluster of handmade houses, a salt water pool, and three acres of fruit trees & hammocks; a sort of a tropical summer camp for large groups, families, friends, couples and solo eco-travelers. Folks who like to be off the beaten path. No wifi, no AC, (we’re in the hills with plenty of fresh breezes) our towels don’t match, but we have the most beautiful views and coolest guests on the island.

No matter which house, or room you choose, it’s the whole place you are getting, with hammocks, ripe fruit and cocos to pick, an eclectic lending library, stereos, indoor board games, usually a bunch of free snorkel, coolers and beach things as well as a ton of travel and island information. We’ve been doing this for 15 years now, and love to share the place with like-minded travelers. Bienvenidos!

Entire Finca
Renting the entire finca includes the all five houses: the large guesthouse, our small cabins, and family-sized cottages. Together they can candle between 30 – 35; perfect for weddings, family reunions, educational groups, yoga and other retreats. Your group has the place to yourselves, but on site managers for any help you need.

Entire Guesthouse Casa Grande
Our main guesthouse offers large groups and families, up to 20, the whole rustic villa with six bedrooms, each with one or two queen-sized beds and a twin loft. In the guesthouse there's a large dining and living area, complete kitchen, and wrap-around verandah, all open onto the trade winds and amazing views.

Casa Grande has two shared bathrooms, upstairs and down, with our beautiful outside hot water showers and a third bathroom down the walkway. The massive deck has BBQ, porch swings, hammocks, plenty of table space, and star gazing deck above.

Casa Nueva
La finca’s newest addition is our classy accommodation with the highest viewpoint on the property, overlooking the pool, and south to the Caribbean. The house sleeps one to four comfortably with two private outdoor showers, a bedroom, with balcony and bathroom upstairs, and two daybeds in a large open living room downstairs. The kitchen opens out onto the outside dining area and a second bathroom.

Larger families, up to seven can rent Casa Nueva along with the Cabanita, our one-roomed cabin, just off the patio.

There is also a pullout twin futon in the living area, so sleeping up to 5 is possible, with an additional $30 per day charge.

Family Cabana
A sweet, private two-story wooden cottage up on the hill, the cabana features one queen bedroom, and two twins in a separate room, upstairs. Kitchen, private bath with indoor/outdoor shower, and living area with twin daybed downstairs. The deck has picnic table, BBQ, fresh breezes and views.

Cabanita
The Cabanita is our newer one bedroom cabin located on the far end of the property. The cabin has a queen-sized bed and its own bathroom, very private outdoor shower, and simple kitchenette. The Cabanita is self contained with its front porch overlooking the pool and hills.

The Cabanita is preferred by guests looking to enjoy the magic of the finca with a little more privacy, or can be rented in tandem with Casa Nueva — as a separate bedroom.

Casita
Nestled in the garden, this cozy one-room cabin is more rustic. It has a queen bed, kitchenette and private deck. Shared bathroom and showers are down a short walkway.
